Even though the current edition of The Tenth Muse is fully curated, fear not! We're eagerly anticipating fresh voices and visions for our next volume. Our dedication to showcasing diverse literary and artistic expressions means that submissions are welcome year-round. Whether you're a seasoned contributor or exploring publication opportunities for the first time, we invite you to be part of our creative journey.

Submission to the Tenth Muse is an easy three-step process:

1) Review our guidelines below

2) Complete the form and click “Submit.”

3) Finally, email your submission as an attachment to tenthmusemag@gmail.com

Guidelines for prose

Length: 100 - 4,000 words

Double-spaced

Standard font, type, size, & margins

A running header with page number and your last name

We accept submissions in MS-Word (.doc, .docx), .pdf, and .rtf files

There is no limit to the number of prose submissions

Guidelines for poetry

No length or format guidelines

Double-spaced

Standard font, type, size, & margins

A running header with page number and your last name

We accept submissions in MS-Word (.doc, .docx), .pdf, and .rtf files

There is no limit to the number of poetry submissions but only include up to five poems per Word document

guidelines for art/photography

We can only accept files in ".jpg", ".tif", and ".pdf" formats

There is no limit to the number of works you may submit and we accept any and all types of art, but we can only accept up to three works in total

In conjunction with our general call for art submissions for publication, we are always seeking cover art—your work could be the face of the magazine! All entries designated "cover art submission" will also be considered for publication inside the magazine.

Simultaneous submissions are accepted so long as you tell us immediately upon acceptance elsewhere. We are a busy but dedicated staff so please allow for some time for us to respond.
